About Us

Founded by a former business strategist from a large European technology company, Affiliate Insight now works to provide well-informed affiliate marketing tips and exclusive custom datafeeds for affiliate programs which need them but don't have them.

Affiliate Datafeeds and Affiliate Marketing Tips Blog

AffiliateInsight.com exists for two main reasons:

  1. We provide affiliates with datafeeds to help promote affiliate programs, and
  2. We provide marketing tips and techniques written from the perspective of an experienced technologist and business strategist, via our affiliate marketing blog.

We also work directly with a number of merchants who run affiliate programs, helping them to get the best from their programs.

Why Affiliate Marketing?

Thousands of the world's largest companies -- ranging from computer manufacturers like Apple and Dell to supermarkets like the UK-based Tesco chain -- now treat affiliate marketing as an essential part of their strategies for opening up new markets and generating incremental sales from existing markets. Affiliate programs are attractive to merchants because direct marketing costs are strictly linked to sales (i.e., pay-for-performance), and affiliate programs are attractive to many webmasters and other marketers because they can help monetize existing web traffic and increase the return on investments made to generate new traffic.

Affiliate marketing is also attractive to many individual business people and hobbyists alike, because you can do it without having to be immersed in a big business context: the affiliate marketer can be an individual acting as his or her own boss, free of the many constraints and inefficiencies and politics of working within a large corporate environment.

And speaking for myself, that's exactly what I find attractive about affiliate marketing. The business consultancy I founded in 2002 -- after leaving my role running strategic partnering programs for a large European technology company -- now generates a significant part of its annual revenues from affiliate marketing. I have found that I can generate significant revenues via affiliate marketing and a little hard work -- but without the gruelling travel requirements common to normal business consultancy work, or the painstakingly slow pace of getting anything done that characterizes many large corporate settings.
