XLP Chargebacks Under Control

We hear from the folks at XLP that a sudden spike in the number of chargebacks is due to a large number of fraudulent orders which hit the merchant over the last several weeks. Apparently it is under control now, and affiliates can look forward to the chargeback rates dropping back toward zero.

Readers who have checked our section on top affiliate programs will know that XLPharmacy is one of our favorites. With great commission rates, a reliable third-party tracking system, and nearly 2000 products in their catalogue, it’s hard to beat.

Traditionally, the merchant has also had very low chargeback rates — evidence that customers are happy with their purchases and a definite positive sign for affiliates.

However, during the first half of June, we’ve seen an inordinately high number of chargebacks — some for orders stretching all the way back to the end of April. We’ve been in touch directly with the merchant, and they explained they were recently hit by a high number of fraudulent orders; they say they now have the situation under control, and chargebacks should be heading back down to the very low level we’ve come to know and expect.

Given their very positive track record to date, we have no reason to doubt them — but watch this space!
