Introduction to this Pharmacy Affiliate Program
Although it's only been in operation a comparatively short while, the Affiliate Pharmacy Network promises to shake up affiliate marketing in the pharmacy area with its painless PHP and ASP templates, a very large product catalogue, and a very capable affiliate back office.
Commission Structure
This pharmacy affiliate program offers either 22% commissions for referrals directly to a generic cart, or a flexible SYOP (set your own prices) system. Commissions for second tier referrals are 2%.
The SYOP system is unique in that it allows the affiliate to quickly and easily set prices as a percentage markup, but also with a minimum absolute commission. Since this is what many of us do anyway with other affiliate programs, via a custom spreadsheet, the fact that the developers have incorporated this functionality directly into the back office suggests to me that they know what affiliates like! Base prices themselves already include the 22% affiliate commission, so by setting all markups and minimums to zero, prices revert to the standard for direct referrals.
Tracking and Reporting
The custom back office for this program offers full tracking and reporting of commissions and conversions; it provides much of the functionality of the now-defunct RX Medical Network program -- except that it looks nothing like it and generally works better. In our experience, the server itself is sometimes frustratingly slow, but it does work!

Additional Notes on this Affiliate Program
No other program currently competes favourably with this one in terms of sheer selection and functionality. The popular HSN/MPLLC operation provides only a tiny fraction of the product selection, and the widely denigrated Pill Agent program likewise offers only a mere smattering of the products this program carries. Neither program compares favourably with this one in terms of absolute profit at the lowest price level -- in fact, some prices are so much lower that they suggest some of these other programs must be making an absolute killing by setting affiliate base prices at comparatively astronomical levels.
In addition, this program provides both PHP and ASP templates which actually work, 'right out of the box'.
If I were running some other pharmacy affiliate program, I would consider this program to be my potential death knell and would act swiftly to compete.
