In business since 1998, the Pharmgroup affiliate program is one of the survivors. With a comprehensive product list that includes some harder to find weight loss medications, Pharmgroup offers set your own pricing as well as configurable shipping, dispensing, and processing fees. Introduction to this Pharmacy Affiliate Program
Few if any online pharmacies have been in operation longer than Pharmgroup. Based in Mesa, Arizona, this collection of pharmacies has been offering an affiliate program for longer than virtually any other.
Commission Structure
This two-tier pharmacy affiliate program pays 2% on the second tier and offers fully configurable set your own pricing (which they refer to as "MyOP", for "My Own Pricing") on the first tier. In addition, the program supports separately configurable charges for both US and international shipping, as well as for dispensing and processing. Base prices compare very favourably with most of their competitors; the Pharmgroup site is at particular pains to highlight the fact that although their base prices look higher than those offered by RxP, in fact the actual profit is much higher under the Pharmgroup scheme. (The reason? RxP pays only 60% of the difference between retail and base, whereas Pharmgroup pays 100% of the difference. Pharmgroup's base prices for shipping and all other fees are also set at 0, meaning any charge here translates into pure profit.)
Tracking and Reporting
Tracking for this pharmacy affiliate program is done in house and offers all the usual information. In addition, the affiliate back office provides the slickest tool we've seen for creating coupons that lower the total cost of any or all products.
Affiliate Datafeeds
This pharmacy affiliate program does not presently provide datafeeds as such, but it does support deep linking to specific areas of the site, and it is straightforward to download or upload complete price files, which can be massaged into various feed formats.
Additional Notes on this Affiliate Program
Much as in the case of Integra, I cannot stress enough the importance of the fact that these people are still in operation and are still reliably tracking sales and paying their marketing partners.
In addition to the main SYOP/MyOP setup, it's also possible simply to link directly to one of the Pharmgroup in-house sites. For those who prefer to host their own sites, Pharmgroup provides an attractive assortment of templates. The templates are good old fashioned HTML, rather than PHP, so most affiliates will find them easier to modify than those provided by, say, APN.
It's also notable that as of this writing, the program offers both Xenical and Reductil.
